Pune: Citizens Launch Digital Campaign Against Traffic Chaos And Potholes In Hinjawadi, Seek Support From IT Professionals
Pune, September 27, 2025: A citizen-led initiative has been launched to address persistent traffic congestion and pothole issues in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC), and Hinjawadi. The movement, spearheaded by Sachin Londhe and the #UnclogHinjawadiITPark team, calls on residents and IT employees to participate in a month-long digital campaign.
Participants are encouraged to create 90-second vertical videos within their housing societies, featuring groups of 4–50 people. The videos, which can be shared on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, should highlight local road and footpath issues using slogans like “Our Time, Our Roads!” and hashtags #UnclogFootpaths #RightOfPedestrians.
The initiative aims to amplify citizens’ concerns online before a planned peaceful protest after October 30, 2025, pending official approval. Londhe emphasized that community participation, including capturing videos during Navratri Dandiya events, will strengthen the campaign’s impact.
The movement follows the earlier #UnclogHinjawadiITPark drive and seeks immediate attention from authorities to ensure pothole-free roads and safe, walkable footpaths.
