Pune Collector Jitendra Dudi Orders Fast-Track Land Acquisition for Ring Road, Nashik Phata–Khed Corridor And Chakan Bypass Road
Pune, September 25, 2025: Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has instructed officials to expedite the land acquisition process for several approved infrastructure projects in Pune district, including national highways, outer ring roads, and major urban development projects. The directive was issued during a review meeting held under his chairmanship on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by land acquisition officers, executive engineers of the National Highways Department, officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), and other concerned departments.
Key projects under review included:
- National Highways: NH-60 Bhimashankar–Talegharwadi–Rajgurunagar, NH-61 Bankar Phata–Junnar–Ghodegaon–Taleghar, NH-761 widening (Belhe–Alkuti, Nighoje–Ralegaon–Therpal), NH-548D widening (Belhe–Alkuti–Nighoje–Ralegaon–Therpal), Mahad–Pandharpur Road, Bhor–Varandha Ghat stretch, and the Nashik Phata–Khed Elevated Corridor.
- PMRDA projects: Pune Inner Ring Road, Chakan Outer Bypass to reduce city congestion, 15-metre service road at Use, and 12-metre service roads on both sides of Navale Bridge in Narhe.
- MIDC projects: Chakan Phase 5, connecting roads in Talegaon Industrial Area Phases 2, 4, and 5, Vehangav Industrial Area, proposed Bhor–Utroli–Vadgaon Dal Industrial Belt, and Additional Kurkumbh (Patas) Industrial Area.
Collector Dudi directed that pending land surveys be completed immediately, with police protection where necessary, and that land acquisition should be carried out transparently, prioritising farmer consent wherever possible. He also advised PMRDA to conduct negotiations with landowners for Transferable Development Rights (TDR) to expedite the process.
The meeting also reviewed power sector projects, including the 765 KV Shikrapur–Babhaleshwar–Pune–Shirur and Babhaleshwar–Kadus–Junnar–Ambegaon transmission lines, as well as the Rajmata Saibai Memorial Development Plan.
Officials were instructed to resolve all hurdles quickly to ensure timely and transparent completion of these critical projects.
