Pune, December 5, 2024 – The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has mandated that the responsibility for repairing 148 kilometers of roads within its jurisdiction will lie solely with the contractors under the Defect Liability Period (DLP). A comprehensive list of roads constructed by contractors has been published, ensuring accountability for immediate repairs in case of damage. Failure to comply will result in strict action against the contractors.
PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase has issued orders to enforce these measures promptly. The DLP for road projects has been set between three to five years, depending on the type of work. Dr. Mhase emphasized, “Contractors are obligated to repair roads that deteriorate within the stipulated period. Citizens can report complaints through the PMRDA website.”
