Pune Crime News: Bibwewadi Police Trace Missing 8-Year-Old Girl Within Two Hours
Pune: An 8-year-old girl who went missing from Bibwewadi on Sunday morning was successfully traced and reunited with her parents within two hours, thanks to the prompt action of the Bibwewadi Police.
The girl, identified as Divya Kamalakar Mashale, a resident of Shelke Wasti in Bibwewadi, was reported missing around 7:50 AM by her father, Kamalakar Lakshman Mashale. According to police sources, Divya had gone out to play around 6:45 AM and failed to return home.
Despite the family’s hour-long search, they were unable to locate her and subsequently approached the Bibwewadi Police Station for assistance.
Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, Senior Police Inspector Shankar Salunke personally visited the location and deployed multiple search teams. Sub-Inspector Ashok Yevale, investigation officers, beat marshals, and the C.R. mobile unit were sent out in different directions to look for the child. The police also reviewed CCTV footage from the area, which helped them narrow down her possible location.
The police team eventually found Divya crying and alone near an isolated area close to Yashraj Garden. She was immediately brought back to safety and handed over to her parents, who expressed deep gratitude to the police for their timely and effective response.
The entire operation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Rajkumar Shinde and Assistant Commissioner Dhanyakumar Godse. The successful search effort involved Senior PI Shankar Salunke, Sub-Inspector Ashok Yevale, Constables Pawar, Gajewad, Ghare, Shelars, and the C.R. mobile unit.
This incident stands as a testament to the alertness and dedication of Pune Police in handling missing child cases with urgency and precision.
