In a shocking crime in Pune’s Nanded City area, a man was caught riding a motorcycle with his wife’s dead body in the middle of the night. The incident, which has sent shockwaves across the city, unfolded around 1:30 am when patrolling police stopped the suspicious rider.
Upon questioning, the man—identified as Rakesh Ramnayak Nisar—revealed that the woman on his bike was not a stranger but his own wife, Babita Rakesh Nisar, whom he had allegedly murdered earlier that night by strangulation.
According to the police, the accused confessed to killing his wife during a domestic dispute late on Monday night. After committing the murder, he attempted to dispose of the body by transporting it on his two-wheeler. He was reportedly heading from Bhumkar Bridge toward the Swaminarayan Temple when he was intercepted by teams from Ambegaon and Bharati Vidyapeeth police stations.
The motive behind the murder is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest it stemmed from a personal quarrel. In a disturbing revelation, police have also stated that the accused killed his wife in front of their 9-year-old son.
Despite the grim nature of the crime, swift action by the Pune police led to the arrest of the accused, preventing further attempts at evidence disposal.
