Pune Police Extern 10 History-Sheeters For Two Years
A year-long grudge ends in brutal killing at Chandannagar; victim bludgeoned in public over alleged harassment.
A horrifying incident unfolded late Thursday night in Pune’s Chandannagar area, where a young man was brutally killed by a mother and her son over a long-standing personal feud. The victim, Pradeep Adagale, was reportedly in a relationship with the accused’s sister, a relationship that had long caused tensions within the family.
According to police reports, Rishikesh Kakade and his mother Sunita Kakade, accompanied by their friend Shubham Mandhare, confronted Pradeep at the local vegetable market near the Chandannagar public toilet. Around 11:30 PM, the trio allegedly attacked him with pieces of a broken floor tile, striking his head and face multiple times. The assault left Pradeep critically injured.
He was rushed to Sassoon Hospital for emergency treatment but was declared dead upon arrival.
Investigations reveal that there had been ongoing conflict between Pradeep and the Kakade family for nearly a year. Police sources say that the mother and son were infuriated by what they believed was Pradeep’s continuous harassment of Rishikesh’s sister. Arguments between Pradeep and the family had become frequent, and the situation escalated fatally on Thursday night.
CCTV footage from the area has reportedly captured the gruesome act, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Chandannagar Police have arrested both Rishikesh Kakade and his mother, and further investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and motives. The third accused, Shubham Mandhare, is also being questioned.
