A major fire incident occurred today at around 12 noon in Junawane Residency near the Gurudwara in Aundh village, Pune. The fire broke out in a residential home, prompting a swift response from the Aundh Fire Station.

Upon arrival, fire brigade personnel found the house engulfed in flames. Inside, a man identified as Dattatray Kisan Bhandalkar, aged 38, was discovered severely injured and on fire. The firemen immediately rescued him and rushed him to a nearby hospital via ambulance. His condition remains critical, according to preliminary reports.

Firefighters acted swiftly to control and extinguish the blaze. The fire had spread across the kitchen and bedroom, causing extensive damage to household property. Two gas cylinders were safely removed from the bedroom area during the operation. Initial findings suggest that the fire was triggered by a gas leak from one of the cylinders.
