Pune: Dates Announced For 71st Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav
Pune, October 3, 2025: The Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal has officially announced the dates for the 71st edition of the iconic Sawai Gandharv Bhimsen Mahotsav, one of India’s most celebrated classical music festivals. The festival will be held from December 10 to 14, 2025, at the Sports Complex of Maharashtriya Mandal in Mukund Nagar, Pune, continuing the long-standing tradition of hosting the event at this venue.
Shrinivas Joshi, Executive President of the Mandal, shared the announcement through a press release earlier today. The five-day festival will showcase performances by leading maestros of Indian classical music, attracting music lovers, connoisseurs, and artists from across the country.
The Sawai Gandharv Bhimsen Mahotsav, established in 1953 in memory of legendary vocalist Sawai Gandharv, has grown into a prestigious platform for both established artists and emerging talents in the field of Hindustani classical music.
While the exact lineup and schedule of performances are yet to be disclosed, the organizers assured that further details would be announced soon. Music enthusiasts are already gearing up to attend the festival, which promises soulful renditions, traditional ragas, and a celebration of India’s rich musical heritage.
