Pune: Deploy 50 Wardens To Address Kothrud Traffic Congestion During Festive Season
Pune, July 13, 2025: A special meeting was convened under my chairmanship to resolve the traffic congestion issues in Kothrud. During the meeting, instructions were given to deploy 50 wardens in Kothrud to prevent potential traffic snarls during the upcoming festive season.
Strict action has also been directed against reckless drivers near MIT College and encroachments contributing to traffic jams.
It was stated that the measures implemented by the administration to ease traffic congestion will be reviewed every ten days.
The meeting was attended by Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav, National Highway Authority’s Sanjay Kadam, PMC’s Chief City Engineer Prashant Waghmare, Road Department Chief Engineer Aniruddha Pawaskar, Encroachment Department Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Khalate, Zonal Deputy Commissioners, BJP office-bearers, former corporators, and representatives from various societies in Kothrud.
