Pune: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Reviews Development Works In Hadapsar, Stresses Use Of Technology To Ease Traffic Congestion

Pune, September 14, 2025: Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune district, Ajit Pawar, conducted a review of ongoing development works in Hadapsar and adjoining areas on Sunday. Emphasizing the city’s growing vehicle population, he directed officials to adopt advanced technology and quality infrastructure solutions to resolve severe traffic congestion.
Pawar inspected the ongoing work of the Kharadi–Keshavnagar bridge and also reviewed traffic issues at Mundhwa Chowk and Hadapsar bus depot. He was accompanied by MLA Chetan Tupe, PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, PMC Additional Commissioner Prithviraj B. P., along with local representatives and citizens.
“The construction of the Kharadi–Keshavnagar bridge must use modern and high-quality materials. Once completed, it will significantly ease traffic for residents of Chandan Nagar, Keshav Nagar, and Kharadi. Hence, the work should be expedited,” Pawar instructed.
During the visit, residents raised concerns related to water supply, roads, streetlights, law and order, and bus services. Pawar assured that these issues would be addressed on priority.
He further directed Pune Municipal Corporation, police authorities, PMPML, and elected representatives to jointly hold discussions and chalk out effective measures to tackle bottlenecks at Mundhwa Chowk and Hadapsar bus depot.
