Pune, 21 June 2025: The iconic Palkhi procession of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj arrived in Pune on Friday, casting a spiritual spell across the city. Warkaris marching with devotion have halted for rest in key areas including Wanawadi, Kondhwa, Yeolewadi, Pisoli, and Undri.

Local residents have opened their hearts and homes to welcome the pilgrims, ensuring food, shelter, and care are available to all. Echoes of “Harinam” chants fill the air, turning these localities into vibrant hubs of devotion.

In Wanwadi’s Kedarinagar, resident Sahil Kedari and fellow citizens have erected tin sheds to provide dry and safe shelters for the pilgrims, especially important during the current spell of monsoon rains. Similar acts of service are visible in Vadachiwadi and other nearby areas, where locals have taken the initiative to ensure Warkaris feel at home.

With rainfall continuing, protective materials like tarpaulin sheets, plastic covers, and tents are being distributed to shield devotees from the elements. These halting spots are alive with spiritual energy, hosting regular Haripath recitations, Bhajans, and Kirtans.
