Pune District Administration Launches Digital Access To Land Records
Now, accessing old land records in Pune has become easier than ever. Instead of making rounds to local land record offices, citizens can now access six types of village-wise historical land documents online through the ‘Aaple Abhilekh’ portal (aapleabhilekh.maharashtra.gov.in).
In the first phase, the Pune district administration has made around 40 lakh documents from Haveli and Mulshi talukas digitally available. These documents, dating back to 1930, have been scanned and metadata has been entered into the system.
Additional District Collector Suhas Mapari informed that talathis and circle officers are currently working on digitally signing these historical records. Citizens can visit the portal, pay a small fee online, and download a digitally signed copy of the required document.
Documents Available Online:
* Old 7/12 extracts
* Old Kadhi records
* Old mutation records
* Extracts under section 8A
* Inam (grant) certificates
* Birth and death registers
These documents hold legal validity and can be used in judicial and official proceedings.
Who Will Benefit?
* Citizens buying or selling land
* Farmers
* Builders and developers
* Lawyers and people involved in court processes
What’s Next?
Over the next six months, more than 3.25 crore documents from all 14 talukas in Pune district will be scanned and uploaded to the portal. With just one click, citizens will be able to access land-related records easily and efficiently.
