Pune, September 22, 2025 – The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued an important advisory for commuters using the Alandi to Pandharpur Palkhi Highway. As part of the ongoing road-widening project on the Hadapsar to Dive Ghat stretch, controlled blasting work has been scheduled for September 23, 2025.

According to the notification, blasting operations will take place in Dive Ghat between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. During this three-hour period, all vehicular movement along the affected stretch will remain suspended. The closure is necessary to ensure safety while carrying out the widening work in the hilly section, where blasting is required to clear rock formations and prepare the road for expansion.

NHAI has appealed to motorists to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly. Commuters are advised to make use of alternative routes during the closure hours to avoid inconvenience. Officials have also assured that adequate signage and traffic management measures will be in place to guide vehicles towards diversion points.
