Pune, January 22, 2025 – Parents of students studying at Oysters International School in Mohammed Wadi have raised concerns over a persistent drainage overflow issue near the school’s front gate. The problem has been ongoing for nearly a year, creating an unbearable stench and posing significant health risks to students, staff, and visitors.

The local residents too from the area complained that the stench is horrible and it also becomes risky to drive vehicles. The residents feel neglected by PMC as the issue remains unresolved for more than a year now.

Despite multiple complaints filed online with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), no action has been taken to resolve the issue. According to parents, the overflowing drainage is not only a daily inconvenience but also a serious safety and hygiene hazard for children attending the school.

“We’ve raised this issue numerous times with PMC through online tickets, but it has been almost a year with no resolution,” a parent stated. “The foul odor is intolerable, and it is unacceptable for a school environment to face such negligence.”
