In a welcome respite for housewives, the price of drumsticks has significantly decreased in the retail market. Just a few weeks ago, drumsticks were selling for a whopping Rs 600 per kg, but the prices have now come down, bringing relief to consumers.

According to traders, the influx of drumsticks from Gujarat has led to a decrease in prices. Three weeks ago, the high prices were due to a reduction in the arrival of drumsticks in the market. However, with the onset of the drumstick season in Gujarat, the prices have begun to drop.

A drumstick trader in the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard informed that the prices of drumsticks have come down and are unlikely to increase. With the drumstick season in Gujarat expected to last from November to February, the market is likely to remain flooded with supplies, keeping prices in check.

The decrease in prices has brought relief to housewives, who had been struggling to incorporate drumsticks into their cooking due to the high prices. Drumsticks are a staple ingredient in many Indian dishes, including sambar and curries.

Restaurant owners, who use drumsticks in large quantities, have also welcomed the decrease in prices. With the prices of drumsticks expected to remain stable, consumers can look forward to enjoying their favorite dishes without breaking the bank.

The drumstick season in Maharashtra is expected to start soon, with Solapur and Nashik being major production areas. However, drumsticks from Maharashtra are in high demand due to their superior quality, and traders are expecting a brisk business in the coming weeks.
