In a chilling incident that has left residents on edge, a group of armed men broke into a bungalow in the Nigdi Pradhikaran area of Pimpri Chinchwad on Saturday evening, targeting an elderly businessman in what police believe was a well-planned robbery.

According to authorities, the incident took place around 9 PM when three to four unidentified suspects entered the premises under the cover of darkness. They reportedly tied up the elderly occupant of the house—identified as a local businessman—and proceeded to search the bungalow for valuables.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Pimpri Chinchwad, Shivaji Pawar, confirmed the sequence of events in a late-night statement. “Preliminary findings suggest that three to four unidentified individuals forcibly entered the bungalow, restrained an elderly occupant, and conducted a thorough search of the house. At this point, we believe they made off with certain valuables, though efforts are ongoing to determine exactly what was taken,” he said.

While the exact list of stolen items is yet to be confirmed, police suspect the culprits targeted high-value possessions. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.

Soon after the incident was reported, a police team arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence. Officers have been speaking with potential witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area in an effort to trace the suspects.
