A huge fire broke out in Lane no 11 of Ambedkar Nagar, Market Yard on 13th January (Saturday). No casualties or injuries have been reported.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Nilesh Mahajan, Spokesperson, PMC Fire Department, said “5 to 6 small shacks (zhopdi) have been burnt in the fire incident. The PMC fire brigade reached the spot immediately & brought the fire under control. No casualties or injuries have happened during the incident.”

As per further information, the preliminary speculation of the fire incident is due to a cylinder explosion which engulfed the shacks. 6 fire trucks & 4 water tankers were used to extinguish the fire.
