Pune: Fire Breaks Out Scrap Warehouse In Uruli Devachi, Fire Fighters Brave Act Averts Disaster
Pune – A major fire broke out at a scrap warehouse in Adarsh Nagar, Uruli Devachi, on the outskirts of Pune on Monday afternoon. Prompt action by the Pune and PMRDA fire brigade teams helped bring the situation under control before any casualties occurred.

The warehouse, which stored scrap material, caught fire unexpectedly. As the flames intensified, firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene and managed to remove three LPG and three oxygen cylinders from the premises, preventing a possible explosion.
In a courageous move, driver Sandeep Karne entered the warehouse while water jets were still being sprayed and successfully drove out a tempo loaded with gas cylinders. His quick thinking and bravery averted a major disaster.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Local authorities praised the coordinated efforts of the fire personnel and Karne’s heroic act, which played a crucial role in ensuring public safety.
Further inspection of the premises is underway to assess the damage and prevent such incidents in the future.
