From 7:00 AM on July 24, 2024, to 11:00 AM today, the Fire Brigade Control Room received numerous alerts:

So far, the Fire Brigade has successfully rescued and relocated approximately 160 citizens to safe locations using boats, ropes, life jackets, and life rings. Chief Fire Officer Devendra Potphode, along with 20 fire officers and around 200 firemen, have been actively working since last night.

Incidents Reported:

Fallen Trees: 63

Balwadkar

House/Wall Collapses: 3 (including a wall collapse in Bhavani Peth and near Koregaon Park, and a cave-in at Vadgaon Budruk)

Waterlogging: 16 incidents reported in areas like Warje, Swami Vivekananda Society, Future Society in Shivane, Sadguru Society on Sinhagad Road, Sarita Nagari, Ekta Nagari, Rajput Vith Bhatti, Ganpati Peth, Chandtara Chowk in Shivajinagar, Karvenagar, Pulachi Wadi, Patil Estate, and others.

Fire Brigade officials and personnel are currently working at waterlogged sites, reassuring trapped citizens and moving them to safer locations.

Rescue Operations by the Fire Brigade:

  • Rajput Vit Bhatti, Khilarewadi: 31 citizens
  • Warje Tapodham: 48 citizens (including a paralyzed boy and a pregnant woman)
  • Deccan Pulachi Wadi: 15 citizens
  • Patil Estate Slum: 10 citizens
  • Sinhagad Road: 50 citizens (using three boats)

Chief Fire Officer Devendra Potphode, along with 20 other fire officers and nearly 300 personnel, are working on various alerts, utilizing equipment such as boats, ropes, life jackets, and life rings.
