Pune: Firefighter Injured While Battling Blaze In Warje, Hospitalised For Further Medical Action 

Pune witnessed two separate fire incidents in the early hours of December 18, which were brought under control by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and PMRDA Fire Brigade teams.  

The first fire broke out at 03:53 AM in a warehouse storing mandap materials at Warje, Dangat Patil Nagar. The second incident was reported at 04:36 AM at Kunjir, Mangdewadi, where plywood materials caught fire. Prompt action by fire brigade teams prevented further damage in both locations.

During the firefighting operation at Warje, firefighter Akshay Gaikwad from the Warje Fire Station sustained injuries, including a minor fracture in his right shoulder and other minor injuries. He was admitted to Hardikar Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
