Pune: First-Ever Shastra Pujan Ceremony Enthusiastically Celebrated In Pimple Nilakh
Pune, September 30, 2025: The first-ever Shastra Pujan (Arms Worship) ceremony in Pimple Nilakh was celebrated with great fervour on Sunday, September 28, at the Chondhe Patil Sports Complex in Vishal Nagar. The event, held from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, was well-attended by local citizens.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of chief guest Vikas Sharma, with Vipin Menon as the keynote speaker. Chandrashekhar Pathak, the head of the young business professionals for the Paschim Maharashtra province, was also in attendance.
The program featured a range of physical demonstrations, including a procession with a chant (Ghosha), a march-past (Pradakshina), exercises, yoga, and displays of Samata (group drill) and Dand-Sanchalana (staff drill).
City Secretary Dhananjay Khond welcomed the gathering and provided an overview of the local unit’s activities. He also guided the volunteers on personality development and the initiatives planned for the centenary year of the organization.
Volunteers were also informed about the relief work being carried out by Seva Bharati in the state to aid those affected by recent heavy rainfall.
In his address, chief guest Vikas Sharma stated, “The Sangh is an organization of volunteers who work selflessly for the nation.”
Vipin Menon, the keynote speaker, elaborated on the significance of Shastra Pujan in Hindu culture and traced the journey of the organization from its establishment to its centenary year. He further explained the ‘Panch Parivartan’ (Five Transformations) campaign and the crucial role of volunteers within it.
