Pune: A gang created panic in the Panmala area on Sinhgad Road by vandalizing vehicles with swords. The gang smashed the windows of motorcycles, rickshaws, and cars while threatening residents. The incident occurred in the Panmala, Dattawadi, and Janata Vasahat areas late on Tuesday night. A case has been registered against five to six individuals in connection with the incident.

According to the complaint filed by Anand Shahu Chavan (34, Shivmalhar Society, Kondhwa) at the Parvati Police Station, a group of individuals entered the area late at night and began terrorizing the locals. They started abusing people, brandishing swords, and smashing vehicle windows, including those of motorcycles, cars, and rickshaws parked along the road. After wreaking havoc, the gang fled the scene.

Upon receiving the information, Police Commissioner of Pune District Zone 3, Sambhaji Kadam, Deputy Police Commissioner of the Crime Branch, Nikhil Pingale, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ajay Parmar, and Senior Police Inspector Nandkumar Gaikwad visited the location. Efforts are underway to trace the absconding suspects, and Assistant Police Inspector Gangadhar Ghavate is handling the investigation.
