Pune Gears Up For State Assembly Elections: 10,000 Policemen Deployed
The city of Pune is all set to go to polls on November 20, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 23 . To ensure a peaceful and orderly voting process, the Pune Police Commissionerate has deployed around 10,000 policemen across the city.
Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, the police force has made elaborate arrangements to maintain law and order. The deployment includes officers and personnel from the City Police Force, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Quick Response Force (QRT), and Home Guard.
The Pune Police Commissionerate covers eight key assembly constituencies: Vadgaon Sheri, Shivajinagar, Kothrud, Khadakwasla, Parvati, Pune Cantonment, Kasba, and Hadapsar, in addition to Shirur, Purandar, and parts of Bhor constituencies. To prevent any untoward incidents, suspects are being monitored through police control rooms and CCTV surveillance.
Prohibitory orders will remain in force in the vicinity of polling stations, and Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has ordered strict action against any violations. Voters are reminded to adhere to the following guidelines:

No mobile phones, photography, or possession of inflammable articles and weapons within 100 meters of polling stations.
The police are working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and secure voting experience for all citizens. With a strong deployment of 4 Additional Commissioner of Police, 11 Deputy Commissioner of Police, 22 Assistant Commissioner, 600 police officers, 6800 Police Officers, and 1750 Home Guard, the city is all set for a peaceful election process.
