Pune: Green Sunrise Hills In Wagholi Celebrate Independence Day With Plantation And Cleanliness Drive
Pune – August 18, 2025: Residents of Green Sunrise Hills in Wagholi marked India’s 78th Independence Day with a unique initiative focused on sustainability. A plantation and cleanliness drive was organized to promote environmental care and community responsibility.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, schoolchildren, and volunteers. Together, they planted ten saplings across the premises, reinforcing the importance of green spaces in combating pollution and improving air quality.
Alongside the plantation activity, a cleanliness drive was carried out. Volunteers collected waste and ensured its proper disposal, aiming to create a healthier and cleaner environment for the community. The initiative not only beautified the locality but also raised awareness about the need for responsible waste management.
Organizers highlighted that such efforts reflect the true spirit of Independence Day—working together for the betterment of society. The involvement of schoolchildren was particularly encouraging, as it instilled eco-friendly values among the younger generation.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to continue working towards a cleaner, greener Wagholi. The drive served as an example of how small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful environmental change.
