Pune: Hinjawadi Women Police Officers Deliver Swift Aid To Pregnant Woman, Win Praise From Pimpri-Chinchwad Police

On December 1, 2024, two women police constables from the Hinjawadi Traffic Branch of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, Neelam Vijay Chavan (Constable 1624) and Reshma Nazir Shaikh (Constable 1623), showcased commendable dedication and quick action while on duty at Wakad Naka.

During their duty, they noticed a 25-year-old pregnant woman, Rajshree Madhav Waghmare, experiencing severe abdominal pain while en route to Aundh Hospital. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the officers promptly contacted an ambulance and medical professionals. They escorted the woman to a nearby shelter, where she successfully gave birth to a healthy baby boy under the guidance of medical personnel.

Following the safe delivery, the mother and baby were transported to Aundh Hospital for further medical care.

The exceptional efforts of Constables Chavan and Shaikh were lauded by Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Choubey, Joint Commissioner Dr. Shashikant Mahawarkar, and Additional Commissioner Vasant Pardeshi, who praised their presence of mind and dedication to public service.
