Pune: A group of nine companies, led by South Korea’s Hyundai Steel, has announced major investments in the Talegaon Dabhade industrial zone. Hyundai Steel’s project construction is already in progress and is anticipated to be operational by June of next year.

In addition to Hyundai Steel, companies like Sungwoo Hi-Tech, NVH India, PHA India, Komos Automotive, Doowon Automotive, Paracoat Products, Movemax System, and Pure All Logistics have also invested in this region. RMK Spaces provided 70 acres of land for these projects, and the land transfer ceremony took place on Friday. Present at the event were RMK Spaces Executive Directors Ranjit Kakade and Ramdas Kakade, Hyundai Steel India CFO Dong Seob Lee, and representatives from the other companies.

RMK Spaces Executive Director Ranjit Kakade shared that these companies would collectively invest Rs. 2,260 crore, generating approximately 2,640 jobs. Projects will be set up in surrounding areas such as Mangrul, Navlakha Umbre, Badalwadi, and Karanjvihire, with production expected to start within the next six months. This wave of investment is projected to attract additional industries to Talegaon Dabhade in the future.

Hyundai Steel’s investment alone will amount to Rs. 260 crore in Talegaon Dabhade. Hyundai Motors has acquired the General Motors plant in the area, which will mainly supply steel for automobile manufacturing and provide steel to other companies as well. This project is expected to begin operations by June of next year.
