Pune, August 7, 2025: In a decisive action against unauthorized constructions, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Thursday demolished an illegally built 8-storey RCC structure near J.K. Park in Kondhwa Khurd.

The building, which lacked mandatory permissions, had a total built-up area of approximately 5,000 square feet, including its parking zone.

The demolition was executed by a specially deployed squad comprising 10 labourers, 5 police personnel, 4 junior engineers, 2 assistant engineers, a JCB machine, 4 breakers, and 2 gas cutters.

PMC officials confirmed that the structure has now become severely unstable and unfit for use. They issued a strong warning to the public against entering the building or buying flats in the premises.

This move is part of PMC’s larger city-wide campaign to curb illegal constructions. The civic body has once again urged citizens to verify building approvals and legal documents before purchasing property, cautioning that investing in unauthorized projects could result in heavy financial losses.
