Pune: Kalepadal Police and PMC Demolish Illegal Office of Notorious Goon Rizwan alias Tipu Pathan in Hadapsar
Pune, September 26, 2025: In a joint operation, the Kalepadal Police Station and Pune Municipal Corporation’s encroachment department demolished the illegal office and structures belonging to notorious gangster Rizwan alias Tipu Sattar Pathan in Hadapsar’s Sayyad nagar area.
According to police officials, Pathan, a resident of Sayyadnagar, has multiple serious cases registered against him under the Indian Penal Code and the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
He has a previous record of crime which includes charges of attempt to commit culpable homicide, extortion, assault, criminal intimidation, and organised crime activities.
Despite his criminal record, Pathan had allegedly set up an unauthorized office, temporary sheds, and encroachments in the Khwaja Manzil building area of Sayyadnagar. Acting on specific information, the Kale Padal Police along with PMC officials carried out the demolition drive today, razing the illegal structures to the ground.
The crackdown was conducted under the guidance of the Pune City Police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5), Assistant Commissioner of Police (Wanawadi Division), and Senior Police Inspector Mansing Patil of Kale Padal Police Station, with support from crime branch officers, police staff, and the PMC encroachment squad.
Police officials stated that strict action will continue against illegal constructions linked to criminal elements in order to restore law and order in the city.
