Kavya Dhoble, originally from Mumbai, made a daring choice to leave her stable government job, earning ₹75,000 a month, to embark on an entrepreneurial journey in Junnar. Born and raised in Mumbai, Kavya completed her education in General Nursing and Midwifery and worked at prestigious hospitals in the city. However, her life took a dramatic turn during the COVID-19 pandemic an Exclusive interview with Team Pune Pulse
After contracting COVID-19, Kavya developed a deep awareness of the importance of immunity and traced the root cause to soil health. With the support of her husband, she decided to move to Junnar and start a new chapter in farming, a field she had no prior experience in. Despite initial discouragement from locals who doubted her ability to succeed, she persevered.
Kavya started small, armed with just one kilogram of earthworms. She worked tirelessly to master the art of creating high-quality vermicompost. Her efforts gradually gained recognition as local farmers noticed significant improvements in their crop yields, boosting demand for her organic compost.
Her determination paid off, and her business flourished. Kavya now earns an impressive ₹24 lakh annually and has diversified her venture by offering training programs to aspiring entrepreneurs. To date, she has trained over 3,000 individuals through her one-day workshops, empowering them to start their own ventures or join her growing enterprise.
Kavya also harnesses the power of social media to promote her business, with over 97,000 followers on her YouTube channel and Instagram. Her story is a testament to resilience and innovation, inspiring countless others to take bold steps toward their dreams.
