A 34-year-old woman from Ghorpadi has lodged a police complaint against a kitchen fitting worker. The worker allegedly created a fake online profile in her name and posted lewd content following a payment dispute. The woman, who works for a private company, hired the worker and a colleague to fit a kitchen trolley in her Hinjawadi flat.

According to her complaint, the worker morphed her photos to create a false social media profile and posted vulgar content on August 8. The woman had paid Rs 42,000 for the completed work. However, a dispute arose over the payment of an additional Rs 6,000. The woman wanted to pay only the colleague who had done the remaining work, while the worker demanded the payment be made to him.

In retaliation, the worker sent a profile picture of the woman with obscene messages to a real estate agent in Hinjewadi. He also created a fake social media profile featuring explicit posts and shared a screenshot with the woman’s husband. The worker threatened the husband with more posts if the payment was not made.
