Kolte Patil Developers Limited, a prominent builder’s society is under scrutiny for discreetly bypassing the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Stargaze Co-op Housing Society in Bavdhan near Chandani chowk using hidden and unmapped pipelines and chambers.

This deliberate act releases untreated sewage from 600 flats directly onto open roads, stormwater drains, and public areas, creating a severe health hazard for thousands of residents and commuters. Despite multiple notices from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and repeated complaints from the society, Kolte Patil Developers Limited continues to ignore the issue, leveraging their influence to evade infrastructure costs and legal accountability.

Once the society became aware of the builder’s actions, it raised the issue with Kolte Patil Developers, urging them to address the illegal sewage discharge. However, the builder’s continuous negligence highlights their disregard for public safety and exposes a troubling pattern where powerful builders use money and connections to force authorities to turn a blind eye.

AAP Vice President Krunnal Gharre expressed his concern, stating, “Kolte Patil Developers Limited’s use of hidden pipelines to dump untreated sewage is a blatant disregard for public health. Despite repeated complaints, PMC has failed to act, revealing a disturbing influence. The residents must demand accountability from Kolte Patil, and if authorities continue to fail, we will ensure necessary action is taken in the interest of all citizens.”
