Pune witnessed a major scare after a lift suddenly collapsed in a luxury residential society at Wagholi on Monday. The incident took place in Urbani Society, where six residents—including two women, two men, and two children—were inside the elevator when it plunged as soon as it reached a floor.
All six sustained minor injuries and were immediately given medical attention. The terrifying incident was captured on CCTV, leaving residents shaken.
Following the accident, society members have accused the builder of negligence and filed a complaint with the police. Fear has gripped the community, with many demanding urgent safety checks and strict action against those responsible.
