Pune: Maharashtra ATS Conducts Late-Night Raids In Kondhwa
Pune, October 9, 2025: The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) carried out late-night raids at multiple locations in Pune’s Kondhwa area over suspected cases of radicalisation. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, teams from the ATS and Pune Police initiated searches across four police station jurisdictions.
It is estimated that more than 500 police personnel have been deployed for security arrangements in the Kondhwa area. According to preliminary information, around 350 Pune Police officers and ATS personnel are involved in this operation.
According to officials, the operation began late Wednesday night and continued through the early hours of Thursday. The searches were conducted to verify information related to a few individuals suspected.
“A verification process of the identified persons is currently underway,” an official stated, adding that the scope of the searches may expand depending on further findings.
A heavy police presence was observed across several parts of Kondhwa as the joint teams continued their investigation and security checks.
