Pune, July 31, 2025 — Pune city will witness major traffic changes on August 1 due to processions and events marking the birth anniversary of social reformer Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe. Several city roads, particularly around Sarasbaug, will remain closed to facilitate floral tributes and rallies organised by social organisations, local groups, and political parties.

As per the directive issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav, traffic changes will be implemented from 7 AM onwards. Emergency service vehicles including fire brigades, ambulances, and police will be exempt from these restrictions.

The key affected route is the stretch from Jedhe Chowk to Sarasbaug via Balaji Vishwanath Path, which will remain closed to general traffic. Commuters are urged to plan ahead and follow alternative routes.
