Pune: Marathi Actor Prasad Oak To Receive This Year's Nilu Phule Krutadnyata Sanman

Pune, June 2, 2025: Renowned actor Prasad Oak has been awarded this year’s Nilu Phule Krutdnyata Sanman. An award is given by Nilu Phule’s family and Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch, and the award ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 5 pm at the MES Auditorium of Bal Shikshan in Mayur Colony, Kothrud. The award will be presented to Oak by last year’s awardee, actor Sumeet Raghavan, and veteran director Chandrakant Kulkarni, informed Sameer Belvalkar of Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch. The event is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis, with some seats reserved for invitees.
This award ceremony, organized in Pune for the past three years, pays tribute to the late, legendary actor Nilu Phule, and this year marks its third consecutive year. The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 21,000, a memento, a Gandhi topi, and a traditional uparna. Renowned actors Sachin Khedekar and Sumit Raghavan were previously honored with this Award.
Sameer Belvalkar said, “We organize this award to express respect for a veteran actor,r Nilu Phule, to highlight his memories, and to introduce him to the new generation. We believe in the idea that last year’s awardee should honor this year’s recipient, and we are continuing this tradition.” The ceremony will also feature a candid interview with Prasad Oak by renowned anchor and interviewer Rajesh Damle, following the award distribution. Nilu Phule’s daughter, Gargi Phule Thatte, will also be there at the award ceremony.
