Pune: Minor Attacks Mother Over Mobile Phone Argument in Dhankawadi Area
Pune: In a disturbing incident from the Dhankawadi area, a minor boy attempted to assault his mother with a pair of scissors after she turned off a series he was watching on his mobile phone.
The altercation began when the mother, concerned about the time her son was spending on his phone late into the night on Monday (October 14), advised him to stop watching. Despite her request, the boy continued, prompting her to forcibly take the phone and switch off the series. This led to an outburst from the boy, during which he attacked his mother, kicked and punched her, and damaged property within their home, including a wooden frame and glass windows.
Following the incident, the mother lodged a complaint with the Sahakarnagar police, who have registered a case against the minor. Police Sub-Inspector Kale visited the scene to assess the situation, and Constable Jadhav is currently handling the investigation.
This incident has raised concerns over minors being influenced by violent content on mobile phones, such as movies and videos depicting violent acts. Authorities have noted an alarming trend of minors gravitating towards criminal behavior due to such exposure.
