Pune: Minor Girls From Baramati Sexually Assaulted By Four People After Consuming Alcohol In Hadapsar Area
A disturbing incident has shaken Pune’s Hadapsar area, where two minor girls from Baramati were allegedly sexually assaulted by four persons. The girls, both 9th-standard students and friends, had left their homes without informing anyone and traveled to Pune by ST bus.
During their journey, one of the girls contacted a person, who invited them to a friend’s room in Hadapsar. Unknown to the girls, three other acquaintances joined them, and the group consumed alcohol. As night fell, the four accused took turns sexually assaulting the girls.However, in a courageous move, one of the victims called her mother, who immediately alerted the Baramati taluka police. The police swiftly contacted their Hadapsar counterparts and detained the girls, ensuring their safety.
Sub Divisional Police Officer Dr. Sudarshan Rathod confirmed that three suspects have been arrested residents of Saval, Bayajinagar, Rui, Baramati), and a resident of Sawal, Dist. Baramati. A fourth accused remains at large, with police teams actively pursuing leads. The accused identified are Dnyaneshwar Atole, Aniket Bengare Yash alias Sonya Atole.
The police registered a case of kidnapping against unknown persons on September 14, after the girls’ families filed complaints at the Baramati Taluka Police Station. The swift response of the police and the mother’s timely intervention ensured the girls’ safety. The investigation is ongoing.
