Pune: Mont Vert Seville Marks 15 Years With Grand Ganesh Visarjan And Community Celebrations In Wakad
Pune, September 8, 2025: The Ganesh Visarjan ceremony at Mont Vert Seville, one of Wakad’s largest residential societies, was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm. More than 500 residents actively took part in the procession, making it one of the most vibrant community gatherings in the area.
The highlight of this year’s celebrations was the fact that Mont Vert Seville completed 15 years since its establishment, and to mark the milestone, the society also organised its very own Olympics, bringing together residents of all age groups.
The immersion procession was marked by unity, colour, and festive spirit as children, youth, and senior citizens came together to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha. Music, dance, and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” filled the air as the idols were carried for immersion. The initiative was supported by Unacademy, which partnered as the sponsor, further boosting the scale of the event.
A special highlight this year was the enthusiastic participation of the women residents. They formed a dedicated team for the immersion ceremony, earning recognition as the largest women’s team in Wakad. Their collective involvement reflected both devotion and the growing role of women in leading cultural and community activities within housing societies.
Ganeshotsav has been celebrated in Mont Vert Seville with grandeur since 2010, and each year the event has grown in scale and participation. This year’s celebrations not only paid tribute to tradition but also highlighted the society’s journey of 15 years, reinforcing the values of togetherness, joy, and cultural pride.
