She also discussed imposing restrictions on heavy vehicles during the day at Gangadham Chowk, installing speed breakers on the downhill road, widening the road by removing unauthorized encroachments and other necessary measures, etc.

Rajya Sabha MP Medha Kulkarni visited the house of the Late Damayantitai Solanki,  who lost her life in a tragic accident that occurred at Gangadham Chowk in Market Yard on 12 June around 12:30 pm, where a speeding truck ran over the 59-year-old elderly woman. She enquired about the well-being of the family members. Despite heavy construction activity in the area and a ban on heavy vehicles on this road, construction trucks and mixers frequently travel the steep slopes without any hesitation or restriction.

She also discussed imposing restrictions on heavy vehicles during the day at Gangadham Chowk, installing speed breakers on the downhill road, widening the road by removing unauthorized encroachments and other necessary measures, etc with the Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner Rohidas Pawar along with DCP Raja.

She believes that the increasing number of accidents and traffic issues in Pune demand the combined efforts of the Police Department, the Municipal Corporation, and our people’s representatives to find a solution to this and she will take the initiative in this regard.
