The rooftop solar power system at Mahavitaran’s Prakashgad headquarters was recently inaugurated by Lokesh Chandra, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahavitaran. With a capacity of 280 kW, the system will cater to the daily electricity needs of the headquarters, making it self-sufficient in power generation through solar energy.

Mahavitaran is actively promoting eco-friendly solar power usage through various initiatives. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Mukhyamantri Solar Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 is ensuring daytime electricity supply for agricultural irrigation. Farmers are also being provided free solar pumps through the MAGEL Tyala Solar Krishi Pump Yojana. Additionally, the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme is encouraging domestic consumers to install rooftop solar panels for energy self-sufficiency. The state government is also implementing the Sauragram Yojana, aiming to transform 100 villages into fully solar-powered communities.

The inauguration event saw the presence of key officials, including Directors Arvind Bhadikar (Operations & HR), Prasad Reshme (Projects), Anudeep Dighe (Finance), Yogesh Gadkari (Commerce), Executive Director (Projects) Dhananjay Aundhekar, and Regional Director Paresh Bhagwat. The project was executed by Tech Force Services, Nagpur.
