The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a clarification addressing a fake message circulating on social media regarding water filtration issues.

Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department, Pune Municipal Corporation Nandkishor Jagtap, assured citizens that “all filtration systems at PMC water treatment plants are functioning properly.” He urged people not to believe in or spread such rumors.

The fake message falsely claimed that PMC had advised residents to boil water before consumption due to a malfunction in the water treatment center’s filtration machines. It also alleged that the filtration systems would take 3-4 days to become operational and unfiltered water was being supplied in the meantime.
