Pune Municipal Corporation To Launch ‘PMC Road Mitra’ App For Citizens To Report Pothole Complaints Directly

Pune: PMC Unveils ‘Road Mitra’ App to Speed Up Pothole Repairs
Pune, July 23, 2025: During the monsoon, city roads often turn into a mess, but even after the rains, potholes remain at several locations throughout the year. Road works are often of poor quality, and citizens are left with no proper channel to raise complaints. To address this, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has developed a mobile app called ‘PMC Road Mitra’ that will soon be launched.
Through this app, citizens can directly report potholes by uploading photos along with the exact latitude and longitude of the location. Since the Pune Municipal Commissioner will also monitor these reports, the administration will be compelled to take action.
Earlier, complaints made on the PMC Care app or on social media were often closed without resolution, frustrating Pune residents. To prevent such occurrences, the new PMC Road Mitra app has been designed.
Using this app, citizens can upload two to three live photos or videos of potholes. Old photos will not be accepted; only live images can be uploaded so that the administration is informed of the actual condition. Once the photo is uploaded, the complaint will automatically be forwarded to the concerned junior engineer.
After the pothole is filled, it will be mandatory for the engineer to upload photos showing the completed work along with the complaint. This will allow citizens to verify whether their complaint has been addressed or not.
