Pune, December 17, 2024: In a significant development at the National Lok Adalat held on December 14, 2024, Pune District and Sessions Judge, Hon’ble Shri Mahendra Mahajan, facilitated a key settlement granting ₹1.25 crore in compensation to the parties involved. Among the cases resolved was a notable settlement of ₹75 lakh awarded to a victim injured in a 2021 accident on the Pune-Mumbai Highway.
The case involved a serious collision where a speeding car struck a motorcycle, leaving the rider and his father critically injured. The accident brought severe financial distress to the family. However, through the Lok Adalat, a settlement was reached, providing much-needed relief and compensation to the victims.
The successful resolution was made possible by the efforts of advocate Bhaskar B. Suryawanshi and the officials of HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company, with District and Sessions Judge Shri B.P. Kshirsagar playing a pivotal role in guiding the case to a settlement.
