Pune News : Deteriorating Footpaths Pose Distress for Pimple Saudagar Residents

Pune: The condition of footpaths in Pimple Saudagar has reached an alarming state, causing distress among pedestrians and local residents, particularly those residing along Kunal Icon Road and Kokane Chowk.
Vivek Naniwadekar, a member of Subhashree Housing Society in Pimple Saudagar, expressed deep concern, stating, “The deteriorated footpaths have become a daily challenge for us to navigate. Dislodged tiles and uneven surfaces pose significant dangers, especially for children and senior citizens, who are at risk of tripping and sustaining severe injuries.”
Ravi Bhosale, residing in Roseland Residency, shared a similar sentiment, adding, “Persistent water puddles near the footpaths along Kunal Icon Road have transformed walking into a nightmare. Regrettably, no actions have been taken to alleviate this issue.”
Chetan Kappe, another resident of Roseland Residency, emphasized the difficulties faced by vulnerable members of the community, saying, “Our society houses children and senior citizens who struggle immensely due to the deplorable footpath conditions.”
Vijay Bhange, a resident of Subhashree Housing Society, lamented the lack of attention to the problem, stating, “The damaged footpaths appear neglected and have become unwalkable. Despite the apparent need for repairs, no steps have been taken to address this pressing concern.”
