Pune: A shocking incident has come to light at Pune’s iconic Goodluck Café, known for its popular bun maska, which attracts food lovers from across the city and beyond. A customer recently discovered glass shards in the bun maska served at the café, raising serious concerns over food safety.

Akash Jalgi, who had visited the café with his wife, recounted that while eating the bun maska, he suddenly bit into something unusually hard. Initially suspecting it to be ice, a closer inspection revealed it to be pieces of glass.

Upon bringing the issue to the attention of the café owner, an apology was offered, and the bill was waived. However, Jalgi emphasized that had the glass gone unnoticed and been swallowed, it could have led to a serious medical emergency. He has since filed an official complaint with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) through their online portal.

Responding to the incident, the café’s management stated that the bun maska is outsourced and claimed that the matter has been taken up with the concerned supplier. This statement has sparked criticism, with many accusing the café of shifting responsibility rather than ensuring the safety and quality of the food served.
