A Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus driver, allegedly intoxicated, rammed into a two-wheeler on Wednesday, leaving a young rider critically injured.
The incident occurred as the bus was en route to Wagholi. The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the driver’s condition at the time of the accident, and strict action is expected if intoxication is confirmed.
This accident comes just days after another major PMPML mishap on Pune-Ahmednagar Road, where two buses collided, injuring 29 passengers.
