Pune News: Police Constable Attacked While Dispersing Crowd In Sadashiv Peth; Case Registered Against Individual
A police constable was assaulted while on duty in Pune’s Sadashiv Peth late on Monday night when he attempted to disperse a group causing a disturbance.
Following the incident, a case has been registered against one individual.
According to the complaint, the constable and his colleague were patrolling the area around 12:30 AM when they received reports of a group creating a ruckus near Bhave High School.
Upon reaching the location on their motorcycle, they instructed the individuals to disperse and return home.
However, one of the youths in the group verbally abused the constable and pushed him before fleeing the scene. A case has been registered against the accused for obstructing official duties and assaulting a police officer.
