Pimpri-Chinchwad: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched an innovative initiative to keep the city garbage-free by converting previously littered public spaces into aesthetically pleasing ‘Selfie Points.’ This initiative, led by the health department, is gaining appreciation from citizens.

As part of the project, the area near Sanjivani Building Corner in Ward No. 23 has been beautified after waste removal. Discarded tires, lids, and other materials were creatively repurposed to enhance the space, making it an attractive location for residents.

Similarly, under the ‘Waste to Art’ concept, the Vijay Nagar Bus Stop in Pimple Gurav has been completely cleaned and decorated using discarded items like tires, cardboard, clay pots, and cement pipes. Awareness messages on health and the environment have also been displayed. Officials noted that this initiative has significantly reduced littering in the area.
