Pune, January 21, 2025 – SNEH Foundation, in collaboration with Mata Ramabai Ambedkar School, organised a vibrant rally in Ajantha Nagar, Nigdi, to celebrate National Girl Child Day. Girls from 1st to 7th standard participated with enthusiasm, making the event a resounding success as they marched to promote the rights and empowerment of the girl child. The rally was organised under the leadership of Ms. Ritika Sarda, Project Manager at SNEH Foundation, with the invaluable support and permissions provided by the Nigdi Police and Damini Pathak of Ajantha Nagar.

The event began with an interactive session, where participants were educated about emergency resources, including helpline numbers like Childline 1098, Emergency 112, and Police 100. Topics like good touch and bad touch were discussed, alongside the importance of confidently saying “NO” to any unwanted touch. The session also focused on the value of education and encouraged girls to stay committed to shaping their futures. The rally then proceeded through the Ajantha Nagar community, spreading awareness about education, safety, and fundamental rights.

The young participants enthusiastically chanted slogans like “Healthy Girl, Empowered Nation” (Swasth Mulgi, Saksham Rashtra) and “Educated Girl, Bright Future” (Shikshit Mulgi, Ujwal Bhavishya), which echoed through the neighbourhood, drawing support and attention from the community.
