Pune News: Student Assaulted By Peer In Lashkar Area's School
An incident of physical abuse involving two students at a renowned convent school in Pune’s Lashkar area has come to light. The abuse occurred between May and September 2024. According to police reports, a student was physically assaulted by another boy in the school’s washroom. The accused repeatedly threatened and abused the victim over several months.
The situation escalated when the victim, unable to bear the ongoing harassment, informed his parents and teachers. The school administration immediately reported the matter to the police. A case has since been registered against the accused student under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
Senior officials visited the school and offered support to the victim. The Police Sub-Inspector is currently investigating the case further.
The incident has raised concerns about student safety within the school, prompting increased vigilance.
